About Me

I am Bennaire Gibson, a son of Virginia, a Norfolk State University alum, a brother, uncle and godfather. I have been running this small business since 2012 and I'm happy to welcome the growth and success I'm beginning to experience. 

Currently, I offer resume writing services, business plan creation services, social media marketing & management and notary services, both customary and mobile/after hours. I pride myself in professionalism, punctuality and personality. You will not soon forget our meeting even if it was only for a few minutes!

My abbreviated resume highlights some of the skills and experience that make me the flexible and adaptable worker who is perfectly suited for this type of endeavor. I've always been a good writer but my years at Fisk and Norfolk State helped to refine and polish the natural talent I possessed. My time in graduate school gave me a wonderful opportunity to put those skills to work and gain more valuable experience conducting research and working collaboratively with a team to author a report on youth prevention that was used by the city of Portsmouth's behavioral health agency to guide their intervention practices. As a small business owner I am always learning new and more innovative ways to engage with potential clients and I have come to understand the importance of doing quality work and being available to clients when they have questions, concerns, additions or simply need reassuring that what I am doing for them will help them in their job seeking, or even academic, pursuits. 


My resumes are simple, easy to read and comprehend, and written with an attention to detail that I doubt you will find anywhere else. I write and revise them myself and I do not simply cut and paste from what a client gives to me onto a new format. I go through and ensure that everything is spelled correctly and that there is proper grammar, punctuation and tense usage in the document. I provide cover letters that match your resume's formatting for an additional cost. Although I cannot guarantee an interview or a job offer, many of my clients have secured interviews and been hired with the documents I've created or revised for them. 

I have started helping non-profit, civic and religious organizations manage their social media pages. Often times the people who head these types of groups already have a full plate, so why not lend a hand? I am of the Facebook generation and social media comes easy to me. I can provide assistance with making sure your group's posts get engaging comments, questions, and other interactions such as funneling traffic to another website or getting more calls for volunteers or donations for your organization. Since each organization is different and has different needs when it comes to their social media presence, I have not yet developed a pricing chart for this aspect of my business.
